Aimed to cost around $70 on the international market, the Elephone S1 and S1 plus hope to be the most premium budget phones you can buy. Elephone released the Elephone S2 and S2 Plus with dual glass designs this year to draw in more customers wanting a phone that offers more of an eye to design that out and out hardware specifications. Building on the S range will be the S1 and S1 Plus, two phones also aimed to combine style and low-cost.
What we know at this time is that the Elephone S1 will be a 5-inch model while the S1 Plus will have a 5.5-inch display and that prices for the phones will start at around $70. Although not confirmed, these phones are believed to run a Mediatek MT6580 chipset, this is a budge 1.3Ghz, 32bit quad-core chipset, that is also found in certain Doogee and Oukitel phones.
The design of the phone (seen above) seems to show a metal chassis, on screen Android navigation and a good screen to body ratio. If these features make their way in to the final phone remains to be seen.
