Here is the easiest to do this update:
1. Download Pipo S1 firmware mixed S3 v2.0b from here or from here. Extract the firmware .img file to your desktop.
2. Put your Pipo S1 in 'firmware update mode'.
3. Run Rockchip Batch Tool v1.6, select the proper image .img file from your desktop, and after your device is found by the program, press the 'Restore' button and wait for 2-3 minutes to finish.
Pipo S1 firmware mixed S3 v2.0b has the following features:
- Integrated Root (run SuperSu to update files after installing ROM).
- Default language English.
- A standard set of applications for english version plus added DocumentsToGo.
- The pixel density is reduced to 120dpi so everything is smaller.
- A bit faster performance.
- No bugs, used older firmware versions, the memory card does not fall off, the sound does not fall off.
- Important: To prevent WiFi from turning off in sleep mode, you need to stick "Always" in the WiFi settings.
- The system partition is increased to 2 GB.
- A standard set of applications for english version plus added DocumentsToGo.
