They even have the same design and appearance. UMIDIGI S2 Lite is that smartphone, just as its slogan says, “born with advantages, built for breakthrough”, this smartphone made renovation at a below $160 price tag phones. UMIDIGI S2 Lite as a phablet features 5.99 inch display afford you a vivid and different visual experience. Triple cameras, 16.0MP + 5.0MP dual back cameras and 5.0MP front camera, you can enjoy images with high resolution. It comes with most of the features we've come to expect from a phablet, including 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM storage equipped with Android 7.0 OS that you can play games faster. Besides, 5100mAh big capacity battery affords you long time experience.

Design & Display.
UMIDGI seems to use the same design idea of S2 in the S2 Lite. That is to say you can get the same design as the UMIDIGI S2. Additionally, the UMIDIGI S2 Lite is available in Black and Red color options. In terms of material, it’s also made of metal cover and frames. The display is also covered with 2.5D curved glass. But the glass is gorilla glass while the S2’s is Corning Gorilla Glass 4. According to the specs of UMIDIGI, the display of S2 Lite is a 5.99-inch mutitouch screen, which is a bit different with the S2’s 6-inch display. But you still get the same resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and display colors of 16M.

Hardware, Storage, OS
As this is a budget version, there is no doubt that you will get inferior specs. The S2 Lite is powered by Octa-core Mediatek MT6750T ARM-A53 processor at a frequency of 1.5GHz and Mail-T860 MP2 GPU. As for memory and storage, UMIDIGI keeps the 4GB RAM in S2 Lite and cut the internal storage to 32GB. The S2 Lite is also equipped with dual SIM card slot and you can use the second slot as TF card slot. The maximum of external storage can be up to 256 GB, same as the UMIDIGI S2. In terms of operating system, the UMIDIGI S2 Lite is still shipped with Android 7.0 Nougat. But it can be updated to the latest Android v8.0 Oreo operating system that is a plus point for this smartphone.

Camera
Though it’s a lite version, the UMIDIGI S2 Lite comes with a quality camera setup. You will get a 16 + 5MP OmniVision dual cameras on the back and a 5MP selfie camera on the front side of the UMIDIGI S2 Lite. This is a surprise aspect of this phone. Moreover, it features the improved 2nd generation Face ID that will bring you better experience of unlocking phone.

Battery
Same as the UMIDIGI S2, the S2 Lite also has a non-removable battery of 5100mAh capacity. According to the test data of the company, the S2 Lite can run up to 20 days in standby mode. However, this handset doesn’t support quick charge.
