Flash instructions
1. Power on the phone, and copy the "PRO6" file to the phone,and open USB debug of the phone.
2. Connect with WIFI, Login the Meizu account and open the ROOT. After it restart automatically, download the KingRoot.apk in Google Play Store or other Android market. After installed, open this ".apk" and restore the phone to "ROOT"
3. After restore ROOT successfully ,Logout the Meizu account.
4. Run the "Read devices.bat",and then click from 1.2.3.4.5.bat and begin to flash the phone. During the flash, click "authorization" which will come up in the phone.
5. When finish flashed, it will enter RE mode,choose "clear the data" and reset to factory data, now the root is finish!

Notice: Please remeber to Log out the Meizu account in Step 3.

UMi Iron Pro vs Meizu Metal: Specs and comparison

A few days ago, UMi started to sell its new device, the UMi Iron Pro, a device which uses metal body design, with 5.5 inch 1080p screen, MTK 6753 Octa-core processor, 3 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM. On the other hand, Meizu has also released a new device, the Meizu Metal, which has a metal chassis, with 5.5 inch 1080p screen, MTK6795M Octa-core processor, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM. As you can see, both devices are quite similar, but they have some differences which are worth to know.

Design
Both UMi Iron Pro and Meizu Metal use metal body design. While Meizu Metal opts for a straight design, UMi has opted for a rounded design, which best fits the hand shape. Regarding dimensions, the UMi Iron pro has a thickness of 7.9 mm and weighs 148g, while Meizu Metal has a thickness of 8.2 and weighs 163g. In addition, UMi Iron Pro incorporates a skyline notification LED, so users will never miss a notification again.

Display
Both smartphones have a 5.5 inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels. Generally, mid-range devices use to have HD and not Full HD displays. Nevertheless, Meizu Metal uses LCD technology, while UMi Iron Pro opts for an AMOLED screen. This technology provides better color perception and also helps to reduce power consumption when using dark themes.

Performance
One of the most important things to consider when buying a new smartphone is performance. In this aspect, we can find some differences, because, while UMi Iron Pro includes a 1.3 GHz Octa-core processor, Meizu Metal opts for a 2.0 GHz processor Octa-core processor. However, UMi Iron Pro has 3 GB RAM, while Meizu Metal has only 2 GB. This means that Meizu Metal supports a lower quantity of running applications.

Security
Like most of current mid-range and high-end devices, the Meizu Metal incorporates a fingerprint reader, which allows users to authenticate into the device on a secure way. However, the UMi Iron Pro not only incorporates fingerprint ID, but implements two additional modes of security: eyeprint authentication and voice unlock.

Camera
Both devices incorporate similar cameras, with a 13-megapixel sensor. Here the difference appears if we look to the front camera, because, while Meizu Metal uses a 5-megapixel sensor, UMi Iron Pro has an 8-megapixel sensor, equipped with a flash LED which will allow us to take amazing selfies.

System
The system is one of the main differences between this two phones, because while UMi Iron has a light interface with barely changes, Meizu Metal has its own firmware, called Flyme OS, which is very different from the traditional Android system. In addition, UMi Iron Pro incorporates some interesting additional features such as an intelligent power saving mode, or a health monitoring app, which allows users to have a better experience with their phone.

Connectivity
Like the majority of current smartphones, both Iron Pro and Meizu Metal support 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks, but, the difference here is that, while Meizu Metal supports FDD-LTE and TD-LTE networks, UMi Iron Pro only supports FDD-LTE. Nevertheless, UMi Iron Pro incorporates the new USB Type-C connection, which will allow users to faster transfer information from computer to smartphone and vice versa. On the contrary, Meizu Metal includes a traditional micro USB port.

Price and conclusions
As we have seen in this article, both UMi Iron Pro and Meizu Metal are similar devices; however, UMi Iron Pro incorporates a few details such as three kinds of biometric security, USB Type-C, or a larger RAM memory. Nevertheless, we need to look at the price in order to fairly compare these two devices. Nowadays, Meizu Metal costs $229.99, while UMi Iron Pro costs $179.99, this is, $50 less.

Fast auto-focus competition! Doogee F3 VS Huawei P8, Meizu MX4 & iphone 6

What makes a good camera? Most of us would only pay attention to the megapixels, but there are other criterias to evaluate a camera. Focus Speed, for example, is one of them. DOOGEE F3 packs a Samsung S5K3M2XXM3 sensor, which is also used by Samsung Galaxy S5, Vivo X5 pro, OPPO R7, Nubia My PRAGUE and Apple iphone6. The S5K3M2XXM3 contain a mechanism that supports Phase Detection Auto Focus(PDAF) allowing efficient Auto Focus in the system.

What is PDAF?
Phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) is an auto-focus method that provides high focusing speed. PDAF eliminates the need for measuring contrast within a sensor field, making it possible to adjust the lens to move its focal point quickly and directly to a new position to achieve optimal focus. PDAF was first used in single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras and then applied in CMOS Image Sensors for mobile devices such as smartphones. It's different from Contrast Detection AF. The camera keeps changing focus until the contrast from one pixel to the next is the highest. The camera doesn't know which way to focus so it is slow and not well-suited for action photography when the subject is moving all over the place. The 3M2 sensor boasts PDAF (Phase-Detection Auto-Focus) technology which enables the DOOGEE F3 to focus as fast as 0.1s.

The MX5 is the successor to the MX4 released last year. The MX5's biggest characteristic is the change in display technology. Meizu has now adopted Samsung's AMOLED screen in place of the traditional LCD technology. This also leads to a change in form-factor as now Meizu had to abandon its 16:10 aspect-ratio for the more conventional 16:9 resolutions. At 1080p and 5.5" diagonal, the screen isn't as high resolution as one might have expected and thus regresses in terms of DPI in comparison to the MX4. This is a diamond-structure PenTile subpixel arrangement so the effective resolution is thus even less than the MX4, something one might have to be wary of in a 5.5" phone such as this.
An important metric is power consumption, the MX5 is supposed to use up 40% less power than the MX4's screen, this might point out that PSR is now being employed on the new unit as the MX4 notoriously suffered from a lack of the technology. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

Meizu MX5 Photo

The CEO of MEIZU Mobile released a new product photo which may suggest parts of the hardware characteristics of the next generation Meizu flagship-MEIZU MX5.

It showed a Home button which is designed differently with the former mobiles in this photo. Besides, instead of the square design which has been used on its former model of Meizu MX4 Pro, the Meizu MX5 appearance uses an elliptical shape, which is similar to the Home button of the Samsung Galaxy S6 that has just been launched on MWC 2015, while more beautiful. MEIZU’s CEO also said that it “We can only design this Home button with the fingerprint identification like this, for the previous Meizu M8 has even been similar to this kind of shape.

The new Home Button may imply the appearance of MEIZU MX5, of course, it may also the upgraded version of the MEIZU MX4 Pro. However, we believe most of people prefer to expect the emergence of the former Android mobile.
