Meet Xiaomi Philips Eyecare Smart Lamp 2
Xiaomi has yet released another new product, a more affordable Smart Lamp in their second collaboration with Philips. This new smart device is said to be anti eye strain and the luminance is controllable based on user requirement. The lamp has a very responsive and convenient touch panel to control brightness. Also, there is an ambient light sensor, so the lamp dims automatically to reduce the eye strain. First of all, it is very flexible, so you can use it at many different angles. Also, it has 2 LED lights for even more flexibility and luminance area and that translates to a total power output of 10W. The lamp can fold up to 180 degrees and the light has a long projectile motion, giving you more light coverage. It si made from stainless material Grade 304 and it is a child friendly device. Capacitive buttons is available for touch control of brightness and it can easily be paired with Mi Home App. Since the Xiaomi Philips Eyecare Smart Lamp has a built-in Wifi, it can be controlled wirelessly using the Mi Home app. Within the app, you can adjust the brightness, select from a few eye care presets, set the timer for the lamp to turn itself off and adjust various other settings.
By using Philips latest Advanced Optical Lens Technology, the Philips EyeCare connected desk lamp reduces glare; and by using the Xiaomi Smart Home app users can adjust to the correct level of illumination needed, preventing unnecessary eye strain. It also eliminates light shining directly into the eyes with even light distribution, providing a more comfortable reading experience. How to connect Xiaomi Philips eyecare lamp 2 to phone
The way to connect the Xiaomi Philips eyecare lamp 2 to Android OS phone or iOS phone actually is the same. Just follow the below guide to connect them together to realize a smarter life.
Step 1. Install Mi Home app. Search "Mi Home" app on the Google Play store or Apple store according to your phone operating system, and download and install it on your phone.
Step 2. Register/log in Mi account. Launch the app and then register your Mi ID and set the password. If you already have a Mi ID, just directly log in it.
Step 3. Prepare the Philips lamp 2. Prepare the Xiaomi Philips eyecare smart lamp 2, connect it to a power source, check whether the WIFI indicator light is yellow and is flashing. If not, please reset it: long press the touch power button for 5 seconds, wait until the LED indicator turns to yellow and starts flashing.
Step 4. Add device. Come back the Mi Home app, enter the "My devices" interface, tap the right top + button to "Add device". Roll the product list to find the "Philips EyeCare lamp 2" icon and press it to add it. After that, press the "Yellow light blinking" button, then click "Next". If you cannot find this item, please change your ID location to Mainland China.
Step 5. Connect to a WIFI signal. If you are connecting to a WIFI signal, please input the password in the interface; if you are not, please go to your phone WIFI setting to connect to a WIFI signal, then come back to this interface, your connected WIFI name will show up, just input the WIFI password again. Then press "Next" button.
Step 6. Connect to lamp WIFI. Follow this guide, press the "Set Wi-Fi now" button to go to your phone WIFI setting to find out the "philips-light_xxx" WIFI signal and connect to it. After that, come back the Mi Home app, you will see that the lamp is connecting to the phone. The indicator will become blue and flashes. Wait for a while, when the blue indicator will stop flashing and become lit, the connection is successfully completed. The lamp will show on the "My devices" list.
