It is very nice to see that a budget smartphone like this gets often OTA firmware updates, that tells a lot about HomTom care for its customers. First, the phone came with firmware version HT3_V2.0.3. Soon it got the update to version 2.0.6.
Root: Firmware is not rooted.

Real Life Benchmark & Tests
In Antutu Benchmark 6.0.1 HomTom HT3 achieves a good score, about  23.000 points. In Antutu Video Tester 3.0 HomTom HT3 scores 593 points, a fair score in this test ranking. It played smoothly almost all video file types; this firmware version fully supports 11 video & audio format files, it partially supports 17 video & audio format files and doesn't manage to play only 2 files.

Wifi Internet speed tested gets also decent values: about 3 Mbps in download and the upload speed was about 19 Mbps. 

Conclusion
This is probably one of the best budget smartphone out there for less than $70, and the support from HomTom company is incredible, I really like it.
